Discus and support SD Cards and Windows 10 in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I just purchased this laptop. Already HATING windows 10.     SD Cards and Windows 10


    I just purchased this laptop. Already HATING windows 10. Can't seem to find a way to get it to read my SD cards. The system also crashes when surfing with Microsoft edge. This is so frustrating! Thinking of selling it and buy the one thing I hate more than windows 10, a MAC BOOK!!! I have read through a lot of the comments but have not found a solution.

    SD card/SD card reader no longer working

    Hi. New to this so not sure of category.
    I have a Lenovo G70. Windows 10, 64bit
    My SD card reader has stopped working.
    In Device Manager, the SD card is not listed.
    I can't format the card as it is not listed.
    I cannot locate the card at all as it is not listed anywhere.
    I've tried chkdsk and get 'Cannot open volume for direct access'
    I don't even have the icon displaying when micro SD card is inserted.
    It did work previously but I had errors. Scanning and fixing did not help.
    I place the SD card in my Android phone and it works fine.
    Please help!

    To get more clear picture of the issue, let us know:

    • Are you using your SD card in a phone or computer?
    • If it is on phone, then which Build of Windows 10 Insider Preview are you using?
    I would suggest you to check the SD card with any other device to make sure there is not any corruption with the SD card.

    SD CARD

    All appps are installed in phone memory. There is no way around this. You can install a game FROM the SD card but it is then installed in the device's main memory.



    STEP 1: Copy all the .xap files which you want to install in your Windows 8 phone to your SD card.

    STEP 2: Now go to Start -> Store -> SD card and wait for few minutes for all the .xap files to be loaded.

    STEP 3: Select the app which you want to install -> Select Install option.

    STEP 4: If your apps are compatible then you can see them in the Compatible apps list if not it will be shown in the Incompatible apps list.

    STEP 5: Once you have successfully installed the apps, you can see those apps listed in the Apps list from start.
