Win 10 version 1511 buils 10586,36 doesn't work with card reader on laptop

Win 10 version 1511 build 10586.36 doesn't work with the card reader. The card reader worked on the original upgrade build 10240 from Win 7. When I open Disk Management Win 10 I ses the sd card. If I right click on properties I get the message that the
RPC is out of date and to refresh it or restart. It didn't solve the problem. If I right click on the C drive for properties it works ok.

When I go to the device driver list the Card reader device from Realtek is not listed. I go to the realtek web site and download the the latest driver dated about 2013. When I try to install the driver I get the message that the driver cannot be installed.

My pc is a HP DV7T quad edition which worked perfectly under Win 7!!!

 

New USB flash card reader not working--how to troubleshoot Creators


So I recently got an Orico drive bay combination flash card reader and USB port. The USB port works but the CF format card reader does not. I can't even tell from Device Manager if the CF or any of the other format card readers are even detected.

any suggestions for better use of Device Manager or other tools?
