SD card on Lumia 950 very slow.

Because of the openness of the Internet, everyone is allowed to answer here. That is good, because the community sees interesting and innovating ideas. However some answerer do not understand (or are able to admit), that manufacturers like Microsoft and
SanDisk create software bugs, which lead to the wildest interoperability issues.

Your question is a common one, however still, I am not aware of such a list of ‘best microSDs’. Furthermore, that is difficult because you face two software bugs rather than a hardware limitation. Finally, even with the same EAN (or

UPC) the software of the controller on the microSD might be different. Anyway, if you still have the sales packaging of your microSD, please, post the UPC, EAN, or even better that SanDisk SDSD… above the barcode on the sales package.

For a Lumia 950 series phone, you do not have to go for the Pro-series of SanDisk, at least I am not able to leverage their speed. Instead because of the 4K video recording capabilities of the Lumia 950 series, have a look at a microSD which is not Class10,
U1 but U3. As of today, this is the SanDisk SDSQXAF series. In my local market, that series is labeled ‘SanDisk Extreme’ (without Plus or Pro) and shows a

A1 logo. The year before that, the U3 based series was SDSQXVF. The year before, it was SDSQXNE and SDSDQXN.

 

First round the world solar flight

The team behind pioneering solar-powered plane Solar Impulse 2 have announced they are now set to resume their attempt to achieve the first ever round-the-world solar flight.






New batteries have been fitted and extra cooling systems installed. A series of 13 test flights—including high-altitude testing—have confirmed it’s good to go.
The team is now waiting for a “favorable” weather window in which pilot Bertrand Piccard can set off. Depending on conditions, the airplane will head for either Phoenix, San Francisco, Los Angeles or Vancouver.
