    Seagate 8TB Desktop Freezes PC, won't show in PC


    Hi Community,I am really having a nightmare with my External Seagate HDD 8TB Desktop Drive.I have tried multiple ways to fix it but it can't be and I just want to know what is the issue that causes all of this so I will be aware of this and won't let it happen again on my other drives. When I connect the HDD to my pc and do a Restart to windows it won't boot at all. I have to unplug it from my PC.When I connect the HDD to my laptop it just shows me that is about to connect to it but as shown in the picture it will load the green bar and nothinghappened.     Seagate drive doesn't show on Windows explorer

    I have a Seagate Expansion drive, an 8tb drive. Sometimes it shows up on Windows Explorer, sometimes it doesn;t. I have Windows 10.

    Freezing desktop and taskbar icons and freezing applications

    Hi

    Followed the suggested steps.
    Thought it was working ok but it's locked again
    Back to showing the same symptoms so sadly, I don't think I'm any further on

    Any other suggestions?

    Can't help feeling like it's either missing a file or something key is corrupted

    Nothing shows up via Seagate, scandisc, virus scans (mcafee), malwarebytes
    Still also seems to be an issue in safemode

    Wondering where to go next...

    Extreme but I'm thinking about formatting and starting again
    Never done that before though so any useful links to a step-by-step approach would be useful
    Including windows 10

    I do not have a Windows 10 disc - only a windows 8 that came with my PC
    I installed 10 for free some time ago by following a link when MS were really pushing windows 10

    when i put a usb on my n97 it won t charge when i put on the computer it won t say nokia pc suite or else it not reading the usb cannot work on my phone plz hel
