Windows 10: Seagate expansion drive slowing down computer

Hello, I'm having trouble with my external hard drive, where when it's plugged in my computer slows down by a ton. Booting will take ten times as long, and the file explorer doesn't even work and will freeze while it's plugged in. Before hand, I had held the power button on my computer while I forgot I was installing a game, and it caused this to happen. When the hard drive is unplugged, the computer runs just fine.I would really hope there's a way to fix this, as most of my games is put into the hard drive due to my installed hard drive having extremely low space on it. Seagate Expansion + Drive not working

When I use to connect my Seagate Expansion + drive, my windows 8 computer does not read the contents and it also affects the other USB Drives. but it shows on the Device Manager (SCSI controller and Disk Drives section), however the capacity storage is not
listing up on the Disk Management Tool.

Any help?

I would suggest you to give permission to Seagate and check if the issue persists:

a. Right-click the Seagate for which you want to set permissions, click Properties, and then click the Security tab.

b. Click Advanced to open the Advanced Security Settings for <Object> dialog box.

c. Click Owner tab, click Edit. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue.

d. In the new Advanced Security Settings for <Object> box, in the Change owner to: field, select your User name, and Check the Replace owner on sub containers and objects. Click OK, repeat for remaining boxes. (If your User name is not listed click the
other users or groups button to add your account). Check in on all the boxes and provide them the read write permission.

Seagate expansion portable drive not recognised by Windows 10

Hi! I am having the same issue with windows 10 and my 3tb Seagate expansion. It shows up in my device list as an unallocated disc drive, I am trying to use it as a regular external hard drive to store my music and video. I am going nuts here because nothing
has worked so far, I had hoped that adding a drive would do the trick but no luck. FYI, This is a brand new hard drive. never used.
