Windows 10: Seagate external hard drive not showing in windows explorer

So I recently got a new laptopI have a Seagate external hard drive that I used to use on my other computer, however that computer has been broken for 1 year maybe more. So I haven't used the hard drive in a while, and it hasn't been tested since then.When I plug it into this new laptop, the expansion lights up to let me know that it's on, and when I go to devices and printers on the computer it does show up as "expansion desk". But it isn't visible in the windows explorer, so I can't access any of my files or save anything new to the hard drive.It's obviously working as the light is coming o

1. I would recommend you to check in Disk management, if the (Seagate) external hard drive is detecting in Disk management. Follow the below steps:

a. Press Windows Key + R and type diskmgmt.msc and hit
Enter.

b. Check if the system is detecting (Seagate) external hard drive and let us know.

2. What exactly happen when you try to access on the hard drive? Do you receive any error message/error code?

• Open your External Hard Drive file in File Explorer.
• Type the name of the file you want to search on the search box and click Enter.

The file will show up in Search Results and you will be able to move it to the correct folder.
