  3. Skype video won't work & Dialing #646# on T-mobile - please help

It is amazing how a big and powerful company like Nokia can release such a half-baked product to market.

I think that it is a good reason for T-Mobile not so sell it, possibly ever. European users are a lot more patient and tolerant to things like that, but imagine T-Mobile selling this -- the return rate would be high, and in the end they might get slapped
by a class action lawsuit from some greedy lawyer for selling a phone that has advertised features that simply don't work!

Not to bash the company, but back in the day when 7200 rpm was introduced, I had 2 Seagate drives constantly having read/write errors on 3 different systems. The last straw was a corrupted install on a pristine win 2000 pro disc. Backing the drive down to 5400 fixed the problem, but I have avoided them since when possible.

  5. Wish I had known this was coming -- I had one of these very drives crash on me, only a few months after I bought it. Had I kept it, and the receipt, maybe after this lawsuit was settled, I to could get my $1.50 (while the lawyers, of course, each get several MILLION $ each!).

Keep all your receipts, I had an SSD die on me after 2 and a half years,I tried to take it back but they wouldn't take it without the receipt, I found it on the last day of the 3 year warranty, they accepted it, I received a brand new one today.

  7. Useful tip: don't use consumer grade hard drives for enterprise grade work *Smile

Personal victim of Seagate 2 TB and 3 TB bad experience.

I bought 1 x 2TB and 3x 3TB Seagate HD (SD3000dm001) in 2012. All 3 TB drives failed near 2 years time frame or expired 2 years warranty.
Tried to swap parts, update firmware, data recovery, etc... without any success! Seagate unable to help because expired warranty. Thank God for my backup!

Replaced about 8 Seagate 1 TB hard drives (2.5" and 3.5" drives) for customers during the same period.

Moved to WD Black now with 5 years warranty at the end of 2014/early 2015. It is more expensive and so far there is no problem!

Lesson learned, you get what you paid! Your data is priceless.

  10. Well today if you purchase online they save a receipt if you setup an account. Buy from Costco they have an automatic 2 year warranty on all eletronics they sell.

I though I knew this was coming.

My Friends Seagate caught fire just a few weeks ago. I would've had burnt computer parts!

The problem with a class action lawsuit is only the lawyers come out a winner. I was included in a class action lawsuit over a $50.00 rebate for a disk drive. When the suite was settled instead of a $50.00 rebate I got a discount coupon for a new purchase from the same company that didn't honor the rebate. Guess where the coupon went. *Smile

With my bad or terrible Seagate drives experience, I'll never order Seagate drive unless you point a gun to my head!
    Bye, Bye Seagate!

  15. I have a newish 2TB external 3.5" USB Seagate Back up something up for my 4K Sony TV and the connected PC been working fine so far at 2 mo. the HP P7 PC has a 1 yr old 1 TB Seagete in it that replaced an earlier Seagate 750GB OEM HDD that failed at about 2 years .

It could have been a power outage /surge for all I know like the one here that took out 2 TV's and the PSU in another PC I have here that maybe started the platter damage and persistent accumulation of bad sectors before I recovered the data from it with Linux Ubuntu after windows would not load ☻☻.

I've had good service out of Seagates all along before the 750GB HDD failed I have another HP P7 S.B. i7 PC here with a Seagate 7200rpm 750GB in it that's maybe ~ just 4 yrs old along with a new 2TB Seagate no problems yet.

OTOH I might have to think about retiring the 750GB HDD in the other HP P7 for something unimportant instead like an on the shelf archive or get a constantly updating back up image on another HDD or replace it because it's over 3 yrs or sell it for a 12 pack ☻.

I read those specific 750 GB HDD's were notorious for high failure rates and some of the other too.☻
