Windows 10: search bar no longer searches internet sites, only local computer

For some reason, my Windows 10 Pro computer will no longer present web results when I type in the search bar or ask Cortana. Cortana is installed and recognizes my voice, but will not search the internet. She always says that she didn't recognize that.

IE11 Google Toolbar no auto search suggestions, no search history?

Since the last Win 10 update my Google Toolbar won't list any search suggestions as I type and there is no search history listed. The Google tool bar will allow a search, but after a few searches no search history shows and no "clear search" button is listed either.

I have turnd on "Suggest searches as you type", and "store search histroy on my computer" in the Google Toolbar options.

Any suggestions to fix this?

• Could you tell us if you're trying to search Local Disk (C on your computer?
• Are you trying to search for it by typing (C on the Windows Search bar? If yes, we suggest that you try to search it by typing
  C: in the Windows Search bar and check if it will appear.

Disable Web Search when I hit Windows Key to Search my Computer

To be able to disable the Web Search when using the searchbox, you need to turn off Cortana. The searchbox will now say "Search Windows" instead of "Ask me anything." It will be more responsive and only show results from your hard drive or local network. To
do this, you can follow the steps below:

• Login to Windows 10 computer with your Microsoft account.
• Click on Cortana search bar.
• In the search box at the bottom, type Disable Cortana.
• Once the suggestions appear in the list, click Cortana & Search settings.
• Then turn off Cortana option.
