Windows 10: Search bar not working and settings search bar also not working

Hi everyone, so my windows search bar and settings search bar is not working. Windows search bar is only showing local saved files and settings is just completely not working. I have tried almost all methods that were previously mentioned but still can't fixed it.How do I fix this problem?NB: I don't if its related but I tried to unhide the appdata folder under my user and cancelled it in mid transfer and then went back to hide it as it was originally intended plus I installed 4 new drivers from ASUS but i wasn't able to roll back the drivers maybe it didn't installed?any help would be appre

I did what you suggested and the indexing seems to be working fine. I can find a newly created file in file explorer, but still nothing in the search bar. I reinstalled Cortana but it didn't help.

I created a new user account and the search bar works properly there.

Isn't it ironic that the client is trying to fix the search bar, and yet the first step to fixing it is 'type settings on the search bar"?

They stated their Cortana Search is not working, how are they supposed to be able to type anything? Even if the Cortana Search was working and you do type "settings" where does that take you? I never saw any Settings for Cortana and Search or are any, that
I know of anyway. Windows 10 HELP is MS Community or the Internet, like trying to find help in a Needle-in-a-haystack.

Any real input (something to chew on_food for thought) would be helpful.
