Windows 10: Search Bar Slowness: Fixed if delete user profile tho....

I am looking for a little help. Most of the users in my company the search bar is incredibly slow... like 30+ seconds for it to respond to typing into it. I have tried the usual stuff linked on the internet between restarting services, troubleshooter, and rebuilding index, but none of those resolved the issue. I did find one post that someone mentioned deleting the profile and re-adding the profile to the local workstation was a solution. I gave this a try and it's fixed the search slowness for every user I've tried it on so far, but I'd rather not have to delete thousands of user profiles in

Windows search is still showing the path of folders of deleted Renamed or deleted user profile it does not open . i want to remove this.

To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

1. Check Registry Entries:
   
   • Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter to open the Windows Registry Editor.
     
   • Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList.
     
   • Under ProfileList, you will see some subkeys with long names that start with S-1-5-. These are the user profiles on your system. Click on each subkey and look for the ProfileImagePath value on the right pane. This will show you the path of the user profile folder, such as C:\Users\91995 or C:\Users\main. Note down the SID of the user profile folder that you want to uncheck in the Indexing Options window.
     
   • Look for any keys that reference the old user profile "91995" and delete them. Be very cautious when editing the registry, as incorrect changes can cause problems. You should back up your registry before your proceed: How to back up and restore the registry in Windows - Microsoft Support
     
2. Check Windows Account Settings and make sure the old user profile "91995" is not listed there. If it is, you can delete it from this menu.
   
3. Open File Explorer, navigate to the directory where the old user profile folders "91995" are located (usually under C:\Users), and delete the folders.
   
4. Rebuild Windows Search Index:
   
   • Search for "Indexing Options" in Windows search bar and open it.
     
   • Uncheck the box next to the SID of the user profile folder that you want to uncheck, such as S-1-5-21-1234567890-1234567890-1234567890-1001. Click OK.
     
   • Click on Advanced in the Indexing Options window.
     
   • Click on Rebuild under Troubleshooting. Click OK to confirm.
     
   • Wait for the rebuilding process to finish. It may take some time depending on the size of your index.

A few more questions that may be asked...

1. Are these domain user profiles on the PC or local users?
2. Do you need logging of success/failure/names of deleted profiles, etc. and, if so, seperate logs or a combined one?
3. What filepath to use for any log(s)?
