Windows 10: Search Box/Bar Not Working [Windows 10 Home; Version 1909]

So as the title says, My search bar doesn't work, and i've tried almost every solution but formatting.i don't even know if that would help.
Please check out the Clip included to see the problem;
What happens is every time i try to open the search bar or use it to find something, It freezes for 0.5-2 seconds and just closes

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if are able to find search box.

• 
  Right click on the task bar.
  
• 
  Go to Cortana.
  
• 
  Click on show search box.
  

Now check if you are able to find search box.

Search boxes inside windows not working

Very odd.

It seems only a rollback or upgrade for Windows would now be the best chance for a fix.

As dalchina suggested, you could try to rollback to version 1903

• Assuming you have 1909 installed (you can check here)
• You have the Windows.old folder in your C: drive

Since the 1909 was released sometime ago, it is unlikely that the Windows.old folder is still on your C drive (which is usually only usable in the first ten days after the update).

So I would keep updating windows and hopefully a fix is released soon.

If the search box is just to unreliable to use, you could use a 3rd party search software program in the mean-time

Search boxes inside windows not working

In the task bar it works normal, it's only the boxes inside the windows as described in this site by someone else.

If I click and type it won't work either. It's really annyong and weird, I cant search anymore in my thousands of files.

Where do I have to do that? I dont understand what that is.
