Windows 10: "Search for app in The Store?" always appearing when trying to execute my WinForm Application

I published my Winform Application in Visual Studio 2019. I would like to add that I'm using Windows Home and it works fine but when I try to set up my program in a Windows Pro PC, the issue occurs.


Yes, I tried reinstalling the application as well to no avail. Thanks.

I understand that when you start the application you get a suggestion to search for the app in Store. Usually, we see this for files, if the default application execution requires additional resource or application. However, as you have mentioned that
clicking on Yes or No launches the application, we can have a look at the settings.



For clarity on the issue,

• What is the version of Windows 10 that is installed on the computer?
  
• Are you aware of any changes prior to which you were not facing this issue?
  
• Have you tried re-installing the application?

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to check the
Change default programs in Windows 10 and check if this application populates in the list.



If you are using Windows 10 Home or Pro, you may also uninstall and re-install the application and check.



If you are using the Veloce application, I would also suggest you to check with the
application support team and check if there are any customization required.



If you are using a Windows 10 version other than Home or Pro then I would suggest you to post your query in

TechNet forums, where we have experts and support professionals who are well equipped with the knowledge to assist you with the appropriate troubleshooting steps.

Thank you for the update and I apologize for the delay in response.

I would suggest you to try running Windows store app troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Type troubleshooting in the
  Search area on the taskbar.
• Click on View all on the left panel of the Troubleshooting Windows.
• Select Windows store Apps.
• Follow the on screen instruction.

I suggest you to check if Windows search service is running.

• Press Windows + R key and type "services.msc" and press
  enter.
• Locate the Windows Search service and right click on it.
• Click on Properties and check the
  start option has been enabled.
• Check if issue persists.

1. What is the make and model of your computer?

2. Do you get any error code?



Since this issue can be caused by software conflict or system file corrupted.



I would suggest you to follow the below methods to fix search issue.

Method 1: Try to run search and indexing troubleshooter.

Follow the steps.

• 
  Go to Start button, and then clicking Control Panel.
  
• 
  In the search box, type
  troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Click
  View all, and then click Search and Indexing.
  

Method 2:

I suggest that you reset the Windows Store cache as per the below mentioned steps and check:

• 
  Press Windows key
  and R key together to open the Run Window.
  
• 
  Type wsreset.exe
  and press Enter key for the command to execute.
