Windows 10: Search for music length:>hh:mm:ss

Hi

Can anyone tell me how to search in a Windows 10 window for all music files longer than (say) ten minutes?

I have got this part ...

"kind:=music length:>xyz"

..but I can't find what format the 'xyz' should be in.

When viewing folders in "details" view; there is a parameter called "length", which displays song lengths in hh:mm:ss format, but that format doesn't work in searches (unsurprising, as it contains colons)

Every other format I have tried doesn't help
(e.g.
. descriptive text ("10 minutes");
. decimal fractions of a day ("0.006"),
. and various other delineators between the hh mm and ss).

the preset searches length:Very short; Short; Medium; Long; Very Long" don't suit me.

...but, again, the syntax for using it is not given (also, that parameter doesn't display ANY values when enabled in the Details view of folders).

I can just do a *.* search, then rank the results ascending by length, but (1) that takes forever to complete on a large number of files, and (2) it is pretty tedious.

While I'm here, a related question - it seems that some of my mp3s have erroneous data in their headers (bit rate and file length/duration). Is there some way to edit that?

problem in video capturing of 6233

Do you use a memory card with your phone ? This problem arises when you have set video recording length to MMS specific levels (ie - shorter length videos to be sent on MMS) but not set up network MMS settings properly, so all you need to do is to set
video length to maximum.

Go to,

Camera > Options > Settings > Video Clip length and set to Maximum.

Send music using Multi Media message

MP3 also works.

It's not possible to send a full length music file using MMS.

MMS messages can only be a maximum or 300kb in size on most networks.

You'll be aware you can add length as a column in the file explorer pane- thus you can organise your search results:

- that article, whilst generally true, is a bit out of date. I haven't yet seen anything later.

HowtoGeek on search does include length:
Learning Windows Search: Use Advanced Query Syntax to Find Everything

Properties can be used to edit metadata, (although not so many as shown by default) but not basic attributes like that.




Suggest running such files through a converter.

As I said, none of the preset searches suit what I am trying to do. Are we saying that it is impossible to search for any Lengths/Duration (ranges) other than those preconfigured in the preset searches?

The HowToGeek article only talks about those the preset searches again, when it comes to the length parameter.

I'm looking for a (user configurable) search syntax.

He says "Length" is measured in tenths-of-a-microsecond (10e^-7).

So, ten minutes is 6000000000 It checks out. How stupid of me not to think of that.

still looking for a way to edit erroneous mp3 header data (not bog-standard ID3v1 / ID3v2 stuff), if someone knows a way. Would rather not re-encode 'em.
