Windows 10: Search function and start button not working on Windows 11, as well as other functions.

I have tried restarting my computer, but it hasn't fixed the problem. Whenever I sign in, I'm unable to press the windows key. The taskbar is also missing, but after a few minutes it appears with the start button and search bar not working. I can click on some of the applications in the taskbar and they work just fine, but I can't click on anything else on the taskbarWifi, calendar, etc. I can't switch accounts, and when I restart my PC and turn it on again, I can't access an administrator account without being stuck on a black screen. windows 11 search function not working

Sadly method 1 does nothing at all.

I have reinstalled windows 11 twice now, and the search function briefly worked again, but after a windows update the search function has stopped again. Twice! I have tried all the other suggested methods without any success.

 

Windows 10 Start Menu, search and Cortana still not functioning correctly

I had some issues with Start Menu not functioning. this was solved in a post by a Microsoft Engineer Giridhar J. However, although the Start menu is now functioning along with the notifications. there are some glitches still.

I cannot pin folders to the start menu. Search and Cortana still does not work properly. Search is glitchy at best having to click on the start button then immediately click in the search box for it to work. Cortana does not work and is not listed as a app
any more.

Any suggestions?

Start button and search button of the taskbar not working.

My PC start and search button of the taskbar is not functioning. Whenever I clicked on start and search button, nothing happens, there is no start menu and no search dialogue box on clicking those buttons. However, when I hover on the start and search buttons,
they display 'start' and 'type here to search'. Cortana is functional for now.

My start button stopped functioning 2-3 days prior of search button stopped functioning. I tried to open start menu by pressing on windows key in keyboard but it didn't work out. However, windows key is functional when working for other short cut functions
such as windows key+ r, to open 'run' dialogue box.

Another thing is, my pc produces unusual 'beep' sound when I press windows, ctrl, alt and shift keys. This existed even before the start and search buttons stopped functioning and still persists.
