Windows 10: Search function in windows 10 does not react after update

Hello from GermanyAfter I installed Windows 10 pro on a Lenovo SL 510 laptop I did the first set of updates and thereafter the search window at the bottom left stopped its functions.I cannot type anything

To turn off windows updates in windows 7 follow these steps:

Click the start button, in the search box type in 'windows updates', click on 'windows update'
in the search results list, in the left side of the windows update window click 'change settings'
then in the option bar select 'Never check for updates'.

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.
