Windows 10: Search not working, windows menu slow to come up.

I've been having this issue for a few months, tried fixing it a few times. I've re-indexed and restarted the windows search. I've restarted file explorer. I went through with the troubleshooter and it brought up the issue of the non-working search bar. I hit repair and have been told it's fixed, however I didn't notice a change. I usually hit the windows key and start typing, but now there is a 1-2 second delay before the menu comes up, and I can no longer search for the files. I've turned on the search bar, and my cursor has the same icon as if I were to click on something before typing, but
