  1. Search of my hard drive shows files that do not exist!

I am having massive problems running software that I need to do my work. Since updating my system to the latest Win 10 pro.

Windows refuses to recognise the license I have for my software and after completing a search for the license file the windows search returned a dozen older versions of the license which were deleted months ago but does not see the most recent version of the license which was added two weeks ago.

I should add that my PC was running this software perfectly yesterday and was running perfectly before updating to the latest version of Win 10 pro.

    :)

    Stored files in Hard Drive

You can use Windows search. Just search for *.* on a desired drive. When list is done just arrange them by size LOL.

You can do it via command line as well and make an output text file showing files and their sizes (but without arrangement)

    External Hard Drive

    Hi John,

We suggest that you try the troubleshooting steps below:

    • Open your External Hard Drive file in File Explorer.
    • Type the name of the file you want to search on the search box and click Enter.
The file will show up in Search Results and you will be able to move it to the correct folder.

Let us know if you need further help.

2nd Drive Files not Showing in Quick search

    Hi all,

Background: I'm running Windows 10, anniversary update; with two physical drives, each also shown as a logical volume (C and D).

Issue: When searching from the Start menu, files on my C drive show up, however the ones on D do not.

Troubleshooting I have done so far:

    • Verify that the 2nd Drive (D) has indexing enabled
    • Verify that the folders on the drive also have indexing enabled
    • Rebuild index
    • The files DO appear when searching the 2nd drive via Windows Explorer, but NOT through the start search
Is this a known issue, and what steps can I take to resolve this?
