Windows 10: SearchHost.exe keeps suspending and I can't run a search

Discus and support SearchHost.exe keeps suspending and I can't run a search in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I am completely new to Windows 11; I just got it on my new PC.     SearchHost.exe keeps suspending and I can't run a search


    I am completely new to Windows 11; I just got it on my new PC. Everytime I try to search for a file, the clock just spins and spins. I don't see any indicator bar showing progress - maybe there isn't any in Windows 11 like there was in W10. After a Google search, I found old info on this problem from 2023, but nothing current. I am not a computer tech, so changing registries, etc. is not for me. Is there a solution that a novice like me can do to fix this?Thank you.

    To assist you better, I would like to ask if you have installed any Antivirus in the Laptop.

    I suggest you to run the program in compatibility mode by following the steps provided below and check if the issue persist.

    • Right click on the “.exe” file of the program and select properties.
    • Under Compatibility tab, check the option for “Run in Compatibility mode”.
    • Select the Operating System from the drop down list.
    • Click on Apply and OK.

    Search Application Suspended

    Good Day AKiHiRO2201,

    My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 10 pc and community member like you.

    Here's the steps you can try.

    -Click Start, type Resource Monitor and open it.

    -Locate the Suspended services

    -Right click on it and hit Resume Process

    Restart and check
