Windows 10: Searching with Windows Explorer in the OneDrive folder on my PC returns "No items match...

I have a Dell Inspiron desktop purchased in about 2016, running Windows 10 Home. About 3 weeks ago I replaced the 1TB SATA drive with a 2TB SSD and did a clean install of Windows 10, booting on a thumb drive I made in Windows 10. I have been using OneDrive to backup all my files for about 2 years. After the clean install I connected the old drive in an external USB drive dock and copied all the files from the OneDrive folder on that drive to the OneDrive folder on the new drive to avoid the delay of having OneDrive download them from the cloud and because I didn’t want to exceed my 1TB monthly

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

• I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

• Then I tried to remove the Pictures folder with option one at Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials. Even after rebooting, the Pictures folder remained.
• So I tried using option two. Same thing: reboot >> Pictures folder still there.

• Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.

That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.

 

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Anyone know how to remove "OneDrive - For Business" from the Explorer navigation panel? I've tried just about every registry modification, and windows policy for "Onedrive" but they only seem to work for the consumer product, not for onedrive for business.

The onedrive product alone is so damn annoying and continues to load itself upon startup, even when it's explicitly remove from startup. It continues to automatically load and unload itself from within the startup folder... while I'm actively watching it load itself into the startup folder.

 

After enabling OneDrive, search box no longer works in file explorer

I purchased and installed Microsoft 365 last week. I connected to OneDrive at that time. I rebooted my pc after the install. Now, when I open File Explorer and use the Search field to find an item, it always says "No items match your search".

For example, I have a folder called recipes. When I search that folder for the word sugar, it says no items match your search. Yet the word sugar is in multiple notepad and word documents in this folder.

How do I fix this?
