Windows 10: SearchSvr_Windows.exe

Anyone know what this exe is for or where it resides? It appeared a couple of days ago in my Task Manager after my system came out of hibernation with 100% CPU usage. When I tried to get Task Manager to Open File Location, nothing happened. Usually the File Explorer opens on the containing folder. A search of the Internet has not turned up any useful information. In fact, there's almost no information about it. I even tried a command line Dir /s search from the C:\ directory, and there was no match. It's like something created the file, got it executing, and deleted it.

Any ideas?

NESHTA.A VIRUS REMOVED BUT .EXE NOT WORKING

• Have you tried creating a new admin account to check if the issue also with new account or only with the current account?

USB drive will not run exes.

To assist you better, I would like to ask if you have installed any Antivirus in the Laptop.

I suggest you to run the program in compatibility mode by following the steps provided below and check if the issue persist.

• Right click on the “.exe” file of the program and select properties.
• Under Compatibility tab, check the option for “Run in Compatibility mode”.
• Select the Operating System from the drop down list.
• Click on Apply and OK.
