Windows 10: Second Hard drive keeps disappearing when opening a game?

This has been an ongoing problem, for about a couple months, and i've been dealing with it at first, but is now becoming too big of a problem.My brand new secondary hard drive keeps showing strange signs when booted onto windows before completely disappearing. I use this drive to keep all my games, and some signs involve:the game taking a little longer than usual to start upthe game taking a lot longer to load in, despite the game running fine for 10 minutes previouslymy windows will not boot and will just stay on the BIOS splash screen, unless i keep restarting my pc, until at a random time m

Game Crashes and Hard drive suddenly disappears

This is a problem that i have been facing for a couple of days. My [Local Disk : D] keeps on disappearing while the others are present. I am using this drive as a Secondary Hard disk. When this drive disappears, I do the following steps:

-Right Click on My Computer

-I choose ''Manage''

-Disk Management and ''Re-scan''

After this, my secondary hard disk tends to appear again, but whenever I try to use any program on this drive, Hard disk again disappears. When I check for errors by right clicking on this drive, [1024] appears and system freezes for few seconds.

Following error occurs when I play Battlefield 4:[game is also installed in this directory]

Second hard drive disappeared

I upgraded to Windows 10 a few days ago and everything was going fine. Today I was moving files from my second hard drive (internal drive) when the folder I had open closed. I tried to reopen it but the drive was gone. I checked to see if the drive letter
was dropped but the drive it self was not listed. I have the latest drivers and bios. Any idea what happened and how to fix it?

Please answer these questions to get more clarity on this issue:

  Is the second HDD an internal drive or an external drive?

  Do you see this drive in the Disk Management screen?
  

Suggest you to run the hardware troubleshooter. Once this is done, restart the computer to check if this helps.

Click on “Hardware and Devices” to run the troubleshooter. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if this helps.
