Windows 10: Second monitor flicking

Hi I have set up a second monitor, there're some problems came with you. Hope if someone can help me out!


At the beginning, the second monitor was flicking and showing a disproportionate size. I went to setting -> Advanced display settings -> Display adapter properties for the second monitor; and from there, I clicked the monitor tab and changed the refresh rate. It was fixed!


This action was taken on my work laptop; when I connect my personal laptop, it didn't go quite well. Every time I clicked monitor, wanted to change the refresh rate to fix the flicking problems; I couldn't open it - the page just closed itself.


I checked my drives - they all show they are the latest. And run a command prompt test - it shows there's no repairs needed.


I am so frustrated, please someone help me if you had encountered the same issue or know how to address it.

Pen flicks won't work at all for me after the fall update.

Meanwhile, we suggest that you follow these steps below on how to properly set flick settings:

• Press Windows key + x, and select Control Panel.
• Open Pen and Touch applet.
• Touch the Flicks tab.
• Ensure that the Use flicks to perform common actions quickly and easily is checked.
• Set the Sensitivity slider to the left (Relaxed).
• Touch Apply and OK.

Issues while installing a second monitor in Windows 10

Really? I get a canned answer and nothing else? I posted that I had tried everything that I could find posted online. I did read the post that Andre suggested multiple times prior to posting this request for help. None of it helped.

My computer does not recognize that there is a second monitor is plugged in. The small step of changing the settings so I can put stuff on the second monitor ISN'T the issue. I am not that dumb. in the device manager there is only the single monitor listed
at one point there was a unknown device listed but my computer did not know if it was a monitor or a printer.

There has to be someone out there that knows how to fix this
