Windows 10: Second monitor goes black for a second and then turns back on with red moving dots...

I currently have a second monitor plugged into my laptop, but the monitor keeps going black for a few seconds or so and when it is back it has red moving dots everywhere and then it goes black again.This is what i have tried so far to fix this:Used different HDMI chordsUsed different monitorsReinstall graphics driverUpdate graphics driverUsing same refresh rate on both screensUsing lower resolution on second monitorDownloaded all the newest windows updatesNone of this has fixed this, can anyone find out what the problem is?

Red and Blue dots appearing on second monitor

After a long time, I have managed to solve this problem. I just switched back and forth from Full HD resolution to the resolution of the monitor and voila, the problem was solved.

Follow the steps below:

1. display adapter settings

2. display adapter properties

3. click list all modes

4. Now just click the highest resolution in the list (i tried both 32-bit and interlaced) and apply it. After a while, switch back to the original resolution of your monitor (In my case it was 1360X768) and the red/blue dots will disappear.

 

Second Monitor goes black after a couple of seconds

I have a Dell laptop running Windows 10 and two monitors. The second monitor comes on and then goes black after a couple of seconds. If I turn it on, leave it for awhile, turn it off and then back on, it eventually stays on. I have switched out the monitor
for a new one - which worked for awhile but now has the same problem. I have switched out the cable and the power cord and still have the problem.

I checked the drivers and it says they are up to date. I tried changing the refresh rate with no success.

 

Screen goes black a few seconds after startup with a second monitor connected

I'm trying to connect a second monitor to my computer. I have one monitor connected via the VGA plug and am trying to use an HDMI cord for the second monitor. Everything starts up normal until it comes to the login screen, then my first monitor goes black.
Unplugging the HDMI cable does nothing. To regain a picture I have to completely turn the computer off and unplug the HDMI cable, then turn the computer back on.
