Windows 10: Second monitor not being detected after shut down.

Hi, I was watching a YouTube video when all the sudden my laptop froze. None of my buttons did anything. I couldn't get it to unfreeze so I was forced to hold down the power button and shut down. When I opened my laptop again the display settings had been reset and it wasn't detecting my second monitor. I tried looking for updated graphics card drivers, restarting my laptop, and plugging and unplugging the power and HDMI cable to my monitor. Nothing worked, so I plugged my monitor into and old laptop I had and it worked without issues, so I know it's a problem with my computer.Thanks in advanc

Windows 11 cannot detect my second monitor. Help. I did all the suggested troubleshooting steps but nothing seems to work.

If Windows can't detect your second monitor, it's usually a driver problem. It could be due to your video driver being outdated, incorrect or faulty. It's also possible that your monitor driver is causing the problem.

Since the issue occurred after the latest update, it's possible that the video or monitor drivers require an update. Try looking for the updated version of the drivers on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.

If the issue persists, try to roll back the drivers to the last good configuration. To do that, you may follow these steps:

• Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
• Right-click your device driver, select Properties, and browse to the
  Driver tab.
• Press the Roll Back Driver option if available, and Windows 10 will begin the process.

Auto detect continues to appear on second monitor and screen shuts down seconds later

I have two monitors set up. Auto detect continues to appear on second monitor and shuts down seconds later. When trying to correct the issue the only way to get my information back to my main computer (all in one HP) I have to disconnect
the second monitor from the main computer. The second computer seems to be set up a 1. When connecting, icons show on second computer then shuts down quickly. I cannot even get into correct the screens and switch the monitors.. At that point I have to
disconnect second monitor..

If the auto detect can be corrected, I believe I can fix the problem after that. Usually Auto detect just corrects itself but this time it will not. I have disconnected everything, power down completely... just cannot get it to work.
