    Ah, see that makes a big difference. It's not using pass-through. It has a USB to VGA graphics adapter in it. It's most likely a driver issue. You need to go to the ASUS support site for that device and look for a Windows 10 driver. A Windows 8 or 8.1 driver will likely work too.

    This link may not work, but I'll post it anyway, http://www.asus.com/US/Notebooks-Acc...Desk_Download/ I went ASUS Canada, Support, and pasted in Asus 3.0 HZ-2 in the search box. They have Windows 10 drivers listed for it.

    OK, windows must be installing a driver on its own, only its not working? I have to think about it for a bit, not sure what to do now?

    Go back into device manager, find that device, and delete or uninstall it. Then reboot, cross your fingers, and hope it reinstalls OK.

    Another option is roll back driver, It should be listed under the driver tab in properties for that device in device manager. It may be grayed out?

    I uninstalled it but nothing has changed. Monitor still frozen in log on.

    I don't know what to tell you to do? I had a similar issue with DisplayLink in some of the early Windows 10 builds. I have a USB 3 external monitor I use with my laptop. Windows insisted on installing a driver that didn't work. I had to go back to Windows 8.1 until it was sorted.
    It may seem extreme, but you could start over with a clean install. or do a Reset?

    As you can tell I don't know a lot, so how do I do a clean install, what's the worst case scenario if I do that or reset windows 10? What's the difference between reset and clean install? Will I loose any information or settings?
