Windows 10: Second Screen not working after Update

So I was playing like normal on my pc yesterday and everything worked fine. When I shut down my PC yesterday it did an update.Today after work I came home to find out my second monitor is not working.I'm doing a dual boot (with grub if that helps) with linux and windows.So I was able to boot on linux and see that it's not a hardware issue because the screen works just fine on linux.

I already updated my graphics driver and checked on the device manager if I could find the monitor, but no. I'm using a 2080TI and my first monitor is on DP and my second one on HDMI.

I don't really know what to else to try here. Any ideas?

Edit: The second screen also doesn't only work in a dual monitor setup, on windows it doesn't work, as my only monitor either.

Asus Taichi 21 outer screen does not work

Mogyie, thanks for that. I gave my daughter a Taichi21 for Christmas and the Win8.1 update managed to trash it.

In Step 5 had to download BIOS 205 (TAICHI21A), 211 was rejected by WinFlash (downloaded in step 4).

I also had to download the Intel Graphics Driver from the VGA downloads. I had to run this after Step 9 to get the second screen to work.

You set me in the right direction, thanks.

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

Project Second screen constantly appearing.

• what is the exact issue that you want us to help with? Do you want to get help in projecting a second screen or to remove the popup?
• As you've said " I tried unsuccessfully to project a screen", do you wish to project a second screen currently?
• What happened exactly when you tried to project a second screen? Did you receive any error message or any error code?

The popup comes as the system might not be able to detect the monitors. I suggest you to update the Display drivers, it may force the system to detect the available monitors. Here is the steps:

• Press “Windows + X” and select Device manger.
• Locate the driver and expand the driver icon.
• Right click on the driver icon and click on Update.
