  1. Secondary drive not showing up; how to access my files?

    Hello,

A few weeks ago my main hard drive died. Fortunately ? most of my work files were on other drives. But one of the drives an SSD does not show up in Explorer in the list with all my other drives. Or, only one partition of it doeswhich was set aside for Paging.

What is the process of accessing this partition and making it useable again like it used to be?

When I right-click the partition every option but Delete volume is grayed out, as shown in the lower picture.

Here it is in Disk Management:

  2. Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

    Steps to confirm issue:

    • Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
    • Secondary drive not visible in device manager
    • Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

    Steps to replicate issue:

    • Installing 1909 update

    Steps to resolve issue:

    • Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.
