Windows 10: Secondary SSD D: drive goes missing when trying to install games

My Secondary SSD D: drive disappears when trying to install games from steam and epic and won't reappear unless I restart my computer. When the drive disappears my computer tends to start having small stutters every couple of seconds. In the epic games launcher there claims to be a file corruption error when the SSD disappears from my device manager. I have tried rescanning disks in disk management and the drive doesn't reappear. Should I wipe my drive entirely or reformat incase there is any corrupted files. According to Hard Disk sentinel my ssd is at 98% health.

Installing games with Windows Game Pass Missing SSD?

Ive just got the gamepass for windows and am trying to install games onto the SSD drive I use for games. The problem is my Games SSD isnt listed, my other 2 SSDs and a WD Black hard drive are in the list though.

The ssd works and is listed in disk management, but if I got into the windows settings and storage it isnt listed there either.

Can anyone tell em why this is or whats going on please?

 

SSD as Boot Drive? How?

Well, I have Windows installed on the SSD, along with the drivers and browser. Now, I'm trying to install other stuff (Steam, games, etc.), but the mechanical drive isn't showing. I'm sure I missed a step?

 

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.
