Windows 10: Secondary SSD won't show up on windows

Discus and support Secondary SSD won't show up on windows in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; I just upgraded my CPU and my secondary SATA III SSD doesn't show up.     Secondary SSD won't show up on windows


    I just upgraded my CPU and my secondary SATA III SSD doesn't show up. However, it does show up in my BIOS. Things I've done already: Updated MOBO to the latest BIOSReset CMOS by pushing the reset button at the back of MOBOUpdated the CPU's chipset driver. Enabled UEFI and TPM in BIOSSSD doesn't appear in disk management or device manager.

    Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

    Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

    Steps to confirm issue:

    • Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
    • Secondary drive not visible in device manager
    • Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

    Steps to replicate issue:

    • Installing 1909 update

    Steps to resolve issue:

    • Uninstall 1909 update

    Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.
