  1. Secure boot bricked pc. Not sure what issue is at this point

Ok, I had my pc up and running for weeks after installing m2 nvme ssd and ryzen 9 5700x. It upgraded to win 11. Multiple programs needed secure boot to run. I go into bios and enabled it. My pc booted fine, next time I try to boot it, no signal is all my monitor says before going blank. Tried to update bios, removed nvme, still not starting. Switched back to ryzen 5 and it gave me display to get into bios. After a few restarts, I add back in nvme. Then go back to my ryzen 9 and wont display. Figured it bricked my mobo after looking online. Order a new motherboard, I have gotten it to the bios

    :)

  2. Windows 8 Secure Boot Feature: Not So Secure?

So Linux is switching to secure boot also? Or they have to because of UEFI?

Windows 8 Secure Boot Feature: Not So Secure?

    • Linux
    • Linux
    • Linux
    • Linux
    • Oh and OSX
Here is a statement from a Kernal Developer at Red Hat:

I'm not sure this exploits the legacy BIOS but rather it exploits the legacy boot method on MBR drives, injecting a signed key before the OS boots, which you are correct in that it has nothing to do with Windows 8. And the simplest fix would just be to require boot drives use GPT when Secure Boot is enabled in UEFI.

    AMD FX OC'ers Club

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
