    Secure boot won't enable


    I need help. My secure boot won't enable. I have it ENABLED in the bio thing, but it still says Secure boot state - Disabled. I've tried doing the Factory key reset, Doesn't work. I need help. Saving and exit also doesn't work.

    I would suggest ensuring you have a backup of any important data before you start this process.

    If you are still not able to enable this, there is also a method to install Windows 11 on ‘unsupported hardware’, this would allow you to bypass the requirement for secure boot:

    So Linux is switching to secure boot also? Or they have to because of UEFI?

    Here is a statement from a Kernal Developer at Red Hat:

    I'm not sure this exploits the legacy BIOS but rather it exploits the legacy boot method on MBR drives, injecting a signed key before the OS boots, which you are correct in that it has nothing to do with Windows 8. And the simplest fix would just be to require boot drives use GPT when Secure Boot is enabled in UEFI.
