This is an interesting option which whitelists dlls and exe files, so any unexpected intruders are flagged for you to authorise, giving an extra level of protection above and beyond. Normally quiet, may ask you to approve new or suspicious items e.g. on installation.

    Sits alongside Defender/Avast etc etc

Option to upload to multi-engine scan, option to scan PC.

Well supported; I've used this for several years on 1 PC with Avast.

    :)

    SecureAplus AV opinions?

Posted this in another thread but it seems prudent to start a new thread about it SecureAPlus free for 6 days- whitelist, compatible with 'normal' AV :)

Anyone here give SecureAplus a try? I like their application whitelisting mechanism and they claim to scan your files using many online AV engines. The only ding I see is their optional offline AV engine is ClamAV, which I would take Windows Defender over. You can choose not to install the offline AV component and install the AV of your choice alongside it.

Some individuals over @ Neowin rave about it, so I may give it a go.

ClamAV sucks no doubt. The whitelisting plus a good offline solution might be a good combo though. You can run the AV of your choice alongside it.
