Windows 10: Security activity log question

    Security activity log question


    Hi


    I reviewed my security histoty as I normally do and got one instance middle of last month of "unusual activity detected" for a Dublin IP address which resolves to Microsoft Azure.


    I never got any texts or emails warning me about this on my contact methods.


    I changed my password the day before.


    I have the authenticator on.


    I do have Malwarebytes VPN and Dublin is one of the options.


    I have not had any other instances since or any other hints of anything untoward.


    Is it likely that MS are being used as a VPN by MWB? Did it just get flagged up as a new location?


    If it was someone trying to get into my account, why would it come up as Azure? Can Azure be used to break into people's accounts? I did have my pc connected to a school or work account at some point last month - could someone leverage that?


    Occams razor says this is nothing but better to be sure.

    That made me so facepalm. Some people have absolutely no clue. I hope they don't take you for granted with all this you're doing for them.

    SonicWall is a good security product, so Mindweaver's suggestion sounds like a good one and should make for a rather bigger baby step. Let's hope they take it.
