Windows 10: Security Breach through Windows Defender Alert

Windows Security Defender Alert popped up on my desktop All in One. I googled Microsoft number to call and called 1-855-497-6471. This number came up when goggling ‘computer locked’ . I spoke to Justin. He assigned a case number MS #075421. He then called me back from a second number, 1-757-529-6350 saying it’s an encrypted number with a fire wall. I gave him by IP address so he could change for suspicious activity. He had me log into Ultraviewer. I spoke to Justin on/off for several hours. He said it takes several hours to clean and restore my operating system. At approximately 5:00pm est he

This notification that you are seeing is a part of the new update for Windows Defender that is called Enhanced Notification. To turn this off, simply follow the steps listed below:

• Click Start
• Scroll down and click Settings
• Click Update & security
• Click Windows Defender
• Set Enhanced notifications to off
  
  
• Restart your PC

We do find it strange that the Defender is sending you warnings about the battery of your machine, even though it's not low. It seems that there is a need for us to further look into this. please share this issue to us via Feedback Hub, so our engineers
could have a look at this.

Usually we do not suggest to disable Windows Defender feature, Windows Defender ATP protects endpoints from cyber threats; detects advanced attacks and data breaches, automates security incidents, and improves security posture. However, if you
still wish to disable it, please follow the steps mentioned below and check if it helps:

1. Open Windows Settings (Windows key + I).
   
2. Then click on Updates & Settings.
   
3. Then click on Windows Security.
   
4. You can disable Cloud based and automatic submissions.
