    Security Essentials to Windows Defender

    ok so I had Windows 7 before I upgraded to 10. I had Security Essentials but now I don't need it for Windows Defender is now on my computer. Here is the thing, Security Essentials is still on my computer and it wont uninstall it. Both are running and I
    don't know how to get Security Essentials off. I tried to go through Uninstall a program but an error appears and says I don't need to install Security Essentials but I am not installing. How do I disable and get rid of Security Essentials?

    Windows 10 Windows Defender versus Microsoft Security Essentials

    Hi Bryan,

    Microsoft Security Essentials was upgraded to Windows defender and it was a default security software from Windows 8. You cannot have both as they are one.

    Since you get this annoying popup at the startup i suggest you to disable any Microsoft Security Essentials entries in Startup tab.

    • Open the Task manager. by pressing Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
    • click on Startup tab
    • Right click on Microsoft Security Essentials entry and click on Disable.

    Restart the computer and check if that helps.

    security essentials wont install error 70643

    Insurgency wont install and run for me....

    I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
    I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

    I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

    First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

    Any ideas?
