    Security intelligence update for windows defender antivirus stuck at 0% installing


    Every time I check for updates I get an update for this defender antivirus but it stays at 0% installing. This has been an issue for a little bit over a week now and I feel like its causing some issues with my pc being slower because I have a pretty good pc and got a new SSD for it and everything is 2-3 years old only. This has been an issue before I see on your page with people having the same issues and this needs to be dealt with and fixed because its annoying and ruins my pc use.

    Is this new? Just got what I thought was a Defender Definition Update, but the name seems to have changed now to
    Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus. Same KB number, same numbering sequence, just a name change. Even Reliability History show some with Windows Defender Update today, then this one just now.

    Not a Platform Update, that remained at 1907.4.

    Anybody else?

    Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus - KB22676

    I just checked my PC and I got exactly the same Security Intelligence Update as you. It was pushed through Windows Update about 30 minutes ago. Prior to that I also had two standard Definition Updates for Windows Defender Antivirus earlier on today

    You'll see different kinds of behavior, but that's normal. I had one this morning when I took a look at updates, it went from pending D/L to D/Ling, then pending install, to installing, to what you saw, installing - 0%, then Done an it disappeared, rechecked for updates and finally finished telling me I'm up-to-date.

    All my progress indicators showed 0% *Eek *chuckle
