    Hi,I recently reinstalled Windows 11 on my laptop, but it no longer requires a PIN code every time I open the lid. I travel a lot and always carry my laptop with me, so this is a major security issue...!!When I open the lid and press Enter, the login screen disappears, and I am taken directly to the desktop without being asked for a PIN!!System Information: OS Name Microsoft Windows 11 Pro Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100 BIOS Version/Date HP T92 Ver. 01.19.00, 27.11.2024 BIOS Mode UEFI Secure Boot State On From the Windows settings:Edition Windows 11 Pro Version 24H2 Installed on ‎01/‎11/‎2024

    Ok @mystiron. I have added OPTION FIVE to help. Using step 4 should disable require password on wakeup for you.

    Hello Dusty, and welcome to Ten Forums. Security issue: Windows 11 does not require sign-in on wakeup :)

    If you used Option 4 or 5, that would explain the "some settings are managed..." message. Those options are for setting this by group policy.

    You should be able to still use step 4 in Option 5 to disable require sign-in on wakeup.
