Windows 10: Security permissions on Drive D not applying to all folders within D

On my computer Drive D, I can not access some files within the same folder. Especially in Picture folder I can only access some pic not all. Its not accepting the permission set for that folder. But if I change the permission on individual picture, I can see it. But it will take me forever to do that. Why I can't change the permission on picture folder and see all the pic but it will only let me view few pic not all.

Hi,

By change location, I was mentioning the process to set your computer to automatically save Documents, Pictures, and etc. to a different location than default..

I was thinking you may have originally done this to get them on the D:\ drive to start with... There is a way to change the permissions of the entire D:\ drive, rather then every folder, one at a time, but I don't want to tell you something that may mess
up a previous setting...

How did your Documents and Pictures get on the D:\ drive ?

Are the other folders that won't open other windows folders, or your own personal files ?

permission to open folders on my D drive

Hi,

I have my documents on a data drive on my PC. After resetting windows to clean up the system I am unable to access the folder on the drive. When I try to open one I get an error message You don't currently have permission to access this folder. Click continue
to permanently get access to this folder. I click continue. I am now told you have been denied permission to access this folder. To gain access to the folder you will need to use the security tab. I click security tab. The property window opens on the security
tab and click advanced. I click continue after You must have Read permissions to view the administrative permissions. I try to set new ownership but still get a access denied.

Any suggestions?
