That made me so facepalm. Some people have absolutely no clue. I hope they don't take you for granted with all this you're doing for them.

SonicWall is a good security product, so Mindweaver's suggestion sounds like a good one and should make for a rather bigger baby step. Let's hope they take it.

    Microsoft Edge TLS Security

After trying everything (not a lot of steps) listed in the Microsoft Edge support site, I did a wider search and found this very simple youtube video that fixed it immediately:

For those who prefer not to click links the steps are simple:

    1. Click in the Cortana search bar next to the Win 10 Start button

    2. Type internet options

    3. Select internet options (control panel) from the list

    4. Click on the advanced tab

    5. Scroll down to the security section

    6. Make sure the following are all clicked:
    Use SSL 3.0
    Use TLS 1.0
    Use TLS 1.1
    Use TLS 1.2

    7. Click apply

    8. Refresh the page that was giving the error and it should now connect.

Hope this helps, it was a 30 second fix after hours of pounding my head against the error with the Support site suggestions.

    File explorer related

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

In Windows 11, when you use the sharing option in File Explorer, you might see suggestions for apps that are not currently installed on your system. This can indeed be confusing and sometimes annoying if you're only looking to use apps that you already have. These suggestions are typically part of Windows' attempt to provide a more integrated experience by recommending apps that could be useful for your task. However, if this feature doesn't meet your needs, you might want to disable these suggestions.

However, I can guide you through a general approach to manage or disable these types of suggestions:

    1. Open Settings: Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
    2. Privacy & Security: Navigate to the "Privacy & Security" section on the left pane.
    3. General: Under "Privacy & Security," look for a "General" subsection.
    4. In this section, you might find settings related to disabling suggestions, tips, and recommendations from Microsoft. If there's an option that seems related to sharing or app suggestions, try toggling it off.
While Windows 11 aims to streamline the sharing experience, there wasn't a direct setting within the system settings to specifically disable non-installed app suggestions from the share menu in File Explorer. The options available might primarily focus on privacy settings, feedback, and diagnostic data preferences.

If the above steps don't resolve the issue, you can use the Feedback Hub to report this to Microsoft as feedback:

    1. Provide details about your experience and specifically mention that you'd like an option to disable suggestions for non-installed apps in the share menu. Microsoft attaches great importance to user experience, you can submit your ideas and suggestions through the Feedback Hub, and the development team will regularly review submissions for ideas or fixes.

Please share the feedback link here after submitting as it will allow others on the forum to vote for your submission, including me. More votes will lead to more visibility and higher priority to the development team.
Since operating systems are regularly updated, it's also a good idea to keep your system up to date. Microsoft might release updates that add more granular control over such features based on user feedback.

Please feel free to let me know how it goes.

    Best regards
