Windows 10: Security Service Centre is disabled

Split from this thread. Hi i have the same problem as your's i accidantly used a third party virus to stop windows defender and now i cant turn on it

The log is incomplete. Based on the information available in the log, it's noted that the Microsoft Defender and SecurityHealthService services are deleted. Also, the Microsoft Defender and security center executables are deleted.

I'd suggest cleaning up the malware from the computer and performing a repair installation from the ISO/MCT. Attempting to repair Windows without removing the malware will be a futile exercise.

Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST64.exe) : Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

• Run FRST64.exe and click "Scan"
  
• Upload the files, namely, FRST.txt and Addition.txt.
  

 

Security Service Centre is disabled

The Defender services and files have been wiped out by malware (which is still active).

Open an admin Command Prompt and run the following commands:

• rd /s /q "C:\Users\HP\AppData\Local\Updates"
  
• DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /RESTOREHEALTH
  

Restart Windows after DISM completes.

And then, follow the steps below to remove malware from the computer.

• Download FixList.txt
  

• Save Fixlist.txt in the same folder where FRST64.exe is.
  
• Close all program windows.
  

• Launch the Farbar Scanner tool and click "Fix".
  
• Upload the output log file (FixLog.txt) to your OneDrive.
  

 

Security centre disabled, and I cannot turn it on.

Hi. Since yesterday I've been receiving messages that that the Windows Security Centre is not running, but I cannot turn it back on. I've gone to services, but the Security Centre is disabled, and the option to restart is greyed out. I don't understand how the service suddenly came to be disbled, but in any case need to be able to restart it. Can anyone help? Windows 10 version 21H1
