    Security Update - KB3132372 - Flash Player

It was similar to the Boomerang TV screen saver which depended on a certain version of flash*.ocx that was easily fixed by copying the new file to the old files name.

I prefer not to restart during the daytime because every minute of productivity can cost me $US100 so I always reboot in the late night. In any case, I think the reason for the restart needed is because one might have a browser (IE/Edge) opened which uses the plug-in so it will need to restart. If you don't have IE/Edge opened, the restart should not be needed, same thing with the stand-alone installers (active x before Windows 10) and the PPAPI and NPAPI plugins.

Got the update fine. Bit strange though as i left my PC on idle for about an hour or so (maybe less) and when i came back, it had gone into sleep or hybernation. I moved the mouse and it woke up fine but i set all my power settings to make sure it wouldn't go off etc. Once i installed the update, it don't go off now.

    Very strange!

  10. Yes I found that out on the holiday weekend. Incredimail responded with a way around it but did not work. I hid the update and uninstalling it first and waited for it to try and install again and then had no problems. So far they have not fixed anything.
