    Security update KB5004945 Repeated BSOD

Hi All,Since receiving the pushed security update - KB5004945 - on 7.7.21, my PC keeps BSODing on me over and over and over again. I'm almost certain it's this security update that's causing the issue as it didn't start occurring until yesterday and has completely stopped since uninstalling it. If anyone has any advice on ways I can try to get to the root cause of the crashes I'd be immensely appreciative as it is a huge impediment for me to be able to work. Thanks,Dan

    :)

    Hi meakashi,

Welcome to the 10forums for both of you Security update KB5004945 Repeated BSOD :)

I would suggest to visit Acer to update or re-install all the drivers available for Windows 10.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

Security update KB5004945 Repeated BSOD [IMG]

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window.
