Windows 10: Security Update KB5033372 failed to install. Error 0x800f0831

It's the first time I ever had an error updating. I have all the previous updates, I have windows 10 22H2x64. I tried installing it through windows update, and manually and it failed both times, so I don't know what else to do. Also a cumulative update got released and it also failed but I guess that happens because I couldn't install the security update mentioned above. So I would be glad if someone can help me with this problem. English isn't my first language so I'm sorry if I made some mistake.

Cumulative update KB4530684 fails with error code 0x800f0831

Hello. I'm currently on Windows Version 1903, build 18362.418. I've been trying for some time to install the latest cumulative update KB4530684, both via Windows Update and directly from the Microsoft Update Catalog, but it always results in failure, with
error code 0x800f0831 shown in Update History.
On Googling this error, I found the following information from Error 0x800f0831 when installing an update - Configuration Manager
"When you try to install a Windows update, especially a cumulative update, you receive the following error message in WindowsUpdate.log:

FATAL: CBS called Error with 0x800f0831
This issue is more likely to occur when there is no access to Microsoft Update.
Additionally, you receive error messages that resemble the following in CBS.log:
Store corruption, manifest missing for package: <Missing_Package>

Failed to resolve package '<Missing_Package> [HRESULT = 0x800f0831 - CBS_E_STORE_CORRUPTION]

Mark store corruption flag because of package: <Missing_Package> [HRESULT = 0x800f0831 - CBS_E_STORE_CORRUPTION]

Note <Failed_Package> represents the package that can't be installed. <Missing_Package> represents the package for which the manifest is missing.
This issue occurs because the update that can't be installed requires the manifest of a previous update package.
To fix the issue, follow these steps:

Go to Microsoft Update Catalog.

In the Search box, enter the package ID of the <Missing_Package>.

Download the package and then install it.

Reinstall the <Failed_Package>."

I assume that 'HyperV' refers to Hyper-V which, from what I can gather, shouldn't apply to my Windows Home computer. Entering 'HyperV' in the Update Catalog's search box fails, but 'Hyper-V' results in a number of entries, none of which are clear to me
and I don't want to make matters worse by trying to install the wrong thing!.
Can anyone shed any light on this please?

 

Windows update error Error 0x800f0831

couple of days ago I realised that my search bar in the bottom left isn't working. After an small investigation i found out the my windows update got an Error 0x800f0831. In the CBS.log I found this:

I tried to find 'Microsoft-Windows-Hello-Face-Migration-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.19041.1' in the update Catalog but I couldn't found it.

I don't know how to fix this problem. Therefor i am grateful for any suggestions.

 

Windows 10 updates - Error 0x800f0831

I have a persistent 0x800f0831 error on a couple of Windows 10 Pro (build 19044) machines. It's been weeks since Updates are stuck, and I get this error.

I have tried whatever method I could find:

• Followed the steps provided by the Microsoft support chatbot, i.e. running DISM (/scanhealth, /checkhealth, /restorehealth).
  
• Run the Updates additional troubleshooter.
  
• Tried various (popular it seems) methods found on the internet, including stopping and starting update-related services while deleting various windows folders etc.
  

Nothing works. I am open to other suggestions. Machines are i5 16GB RAM.

Any more tips are apprieciated.
