After security update for Microsoft windows KB5044281 was installed on a Windows Server Standard 2022 21H2, Hyper-V virtual machines are not able to be started due to the error "An error occurred while attempting to start the selected virtual machine. Virtual machine could not be started because the hypervisor is not running".Everything was running fine before this update, the VMMS service is running and set to automatic. I performed the BCEDIT command to no avail per older articles found.This update cannot be uninstalled through "Installed Updates" as it performs some DISM operations. Attempt

How to reinstall Hyper-V visor on to Windows 10

I have accidentally uninstalled the a part of what I believe Hyper V using the control panel. Now I got message saying the Hyper-V visor or something like that is missing when I tried to setup a virtual machine. Will appreciate if anyone can advise me
on how to re-install this Hyper V component, thanks.

Activate Windows Server 2022 Datacenter on Hyper-V Host with Windows Server 2019 Datacenter

Hi!

I tried to aktivate a new VM on my Hyper-V Host.

The Hyper-V Host is a Windows Server 2019 DataCenter Core.

The new VM is a Windows Server 2022 DataCenter (with GUI).

For the activation by Host i use the AVMA-Key for Windows Server 2022 DataCenter but the Server couldn´t be activated with this key.

Why? Isn´t possible to use a WinSrv 2022 DC as guest on a WinSrv 2019 DC Host?
