Windows 10: Security warning on moving any files around

Everything used to be fine, but now, I get this warning each time I try to move a file from a folder to another. All these files have been on my pc for years. It's very annoying. I have read a post suggesting this has something to do with the Controlled Folder access in virus protection, and it should be turned off, but it was already off, and turning it on doesnt change anything. So I can still say yes everytime and move the files, but this warning is really annoying. I inserted an image of the warning I get, and I am told right over here that image was inserted successfully, but I can't see

If it's a desktop shortcut your getting the security warning from, try this. I just did this on all my shortcuts that were causing the warning to pop up and it works. R click on the shortcut, click 'PROPERTIES' , Click 'GENERAL' , at the bottom of the
box where it lists 'SECURITY : This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer, " check mark"the 'UNBLOCK' box, click APPLY, and OK.

  Since when are you facing this issue?

  Did you make any changes prior to this issue?
  

I suggest you to Clear caches and cookies and check if it helps.

• 
  Open Microsoft EDGE.
  
• 
  After that click on (…) “More action” option which is visible at top right side of the browser and you will see “Settings” option.
  
• 
  Under “Settings” scroll down and you will see a button “Choose what to clear” under “Clear browsing data” option.
  
• 
  Once you click on this option you will see list of feature, Select Cached data and file.
  
• 
  Here you need to check the option you want to clear and click “Clear” button.
  

If the issue persist I suggest you to send us the screen shot of the Security Warning message.

Reg/batch to disable "Open File - Security Warning"


That's ok. To help clarify for everyone, which registry editing did you use and apply?

In addition, what error message are you trying to get rid of?

If you mean for the "Open-File Security Warning" message, then you could use the download in step 5 of OPTION ONE in the tutorial below to disable it.
