    Seeking Advice Installing Power Toys - 0.27.1-x64


    Windows 10 Pro - 2004, OS Build: 19041.685

    Howdy Folks *Smile

    I'm interested in trying Microsoft Power Toys and have downloaded <PowerToysSetup-0.27.1-x64.exe> 19,480,952 bytes
    from GitHub - microsoft/PowerToys: Windows system utilities to maximize productivity
    which advises me I need to have .NET Core 3.1 Desktop Runtime installed.

    This command tells me I don't:
    C:\Users\Email>dotnet --info
    'dotnet' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

    I'm looking for advice on how to proceed.

    Installed Power toys 19

    Hi,

    Tried as you suggested, but Desktop icon clicking it simply fails to open Power toys. Using the Administrator opens the Start>Settings>Apps>Apps Features, other than that nothing other can be found.

    Potential problem with new Power Toys App

    Yes indeed, this version of PowerToys bears little resemblance to the old XP set of utilities. To misquote an old proverb "Install in haste, repent at leisure!". Geek Uninstaller would have been my next step if System Restore hadn't worked its magic, then restore from a Casper image if that was unsuccessful.

    Clicking Power toys icon fails to open it, except on running as Admin it shows in Setting>System. Can anyone help me with this, appreciated.
