Windows 10: Seems like Windows10 or my PC runs out of memory and forces apps to shutdown and freeze for...

This problem started like 1-2 weeks ago. I have no idea what can cause this. I didn't install anything unusual just some software for my studies such as Cisco Packet Tracer, some IDEs, etc.


To describe: Browser windows goes off and says something like "this page is unable for the moment" or something like that, most of apps crush but won't shutdown Like Discord goes full gray screen and I have to relaunch it, Wallpaper Engine also freezes and other apps usually shutdown.


Some says "not enough memory" but W10 doesn't give me any error. I tried a full-scan and it seems like my PC is clean. Tried memory diagnostic tool and didn't get any error. I couldn't find any similar issue on the internet, so I ask here.


I would like to reinstall my PC but I got a lot of documents and making back-up of all my files will take so long. I can't reinstall W10 before the Christmas because I got online classes and I need my projects, IDEs I am using.


Any idea, what could cause this problem ?


Note: My RAMs were on slot 1-3, so I tried 2-4 and nothing changed. And I rebuild my PC like 2-3months ago, so everything is almost new.

My pc takes for ever to shut down when i restart

Suggest cleaning up your startup list .There may be many services / Apps you can remove on startup which is not needed on boot or during shutdown.
Before you shutdown the Pc check what is running in Task Manager as a program or service in not killing the process on shutdown

Would suggest cleaning up running apps and services -Autoruns, StartupMonitor,HighjackThis,
Malware Scan - Malwarebytes,ADWcleaner, Combofix

 

Laptop freezes, have to force shutdown.

Original title: my laptop wont shutdown.

I go through the process and it freezes so i have to a force shutdown, even if try to put it sleep

 

Unknown app running during shutdown

I have experimented with a number of backup apps that run on windows (10) shutdown - these have been successful. However, I have deleted these apps and cleaned the registry of their trace as far as I can. However, randomly the shutdown process is interrupted by a backup process that fails to complete and the machine reboots (there is text on the screen saying that a backup is taking place) . I would like to have a look at a detailed shutdown log but have found the EventViewer not that helpful - I may need to go through the whole shutdown process line by line. As I have win10 Home I do not have Group Policy Editor that some sites suggest might help. What is the best way of me finding out what processes are called during (my pc's) Shut Down so I can track what this mysterious app/backup process is? Many thanks.
