    Brand new Windows 11 machine, fully up to date.When trying to access a site using both Edge or Firefox that requires a smartcard, Windows says "select a smart card device" over and over again in an infinite loop, instead of asking for a PIN.Without asking for a PIN, we cannot continue.Yes, the smartcard is expected, no, we are not looking for a workaround.How do we get Windows 11 to ask us for a PIN as it should?At the same time Mountain Duck works entirely fine with the smartcard and PIN, the problems start when you try access anything through a web browser.Anyone seen this before?

    Office smart card reader not prompting for PIN

    Hi,

    I use a smart card reader along with a smart card provided by my employer. It had been working fine but all of a sudden it stopped working a few days back. Now when I try to login, I do not receive a prompt to input the PIN. Thus the page with the VM launcher
    does not open up. I have reinstalled all the drivers. Still the system does not prompt for PIN. The card reader and card is working on other systems. Kindly suggest some solution.

    Hello all,

    sorry in advance for my English I'm French "Select a smart card device" in an infinite loop instead of asking for a PIN - how to fix? :)

    I have an issue since I changed my computer last week. I use a French government website since 6 years who need a physical smart card with a certificat inside to run the website (1st step => the website read the smart card / 2nd step= the system ask me the PIN code of the smart card / 3rd step = the website run)

    Since my new computer, I always have the same message when I want to run the website. "The smart card cannot perform the request operation or the operation requires a different smart card". System ask me with certificate I want to use so this step is normal (look screenshot)

    but after, system never ask me the code I'm blocked (see screenshot)

    I try on my old computer with the same card reader, same drivers etc... and it works great. I read multiple articles concerning this kind of issue but impossible to fix it. Drivers are update, the system is update.
