    Hi,


    I have a Surface Pro 6 and use the internal camera for Hello. This works great but since I have two big monitors my Surface is standing away from me so the recognition isn't always "friction free". I needed a new webcam so I invested into a Logitech Brio. However the Windows Hello login seems to be still on the internal Surface camera only. Any way that I can enable both cameras or even better use my Logitech when I'm at home and the Surface camera when I'm traveling?

    Hi Abdullah,

    To resolve this camera issue for your Windows Hello, we suggest that you run Hardware and Device troubleshooter. Refer to the following steps:

    • Click on 'search' and select 'settings' and type 'Troubleshooting' and select 'Troubleshooting'
    • Click on 'Hardware and Sound' and select 'Hardware and 'Devices' and click on next to run the troubleshooter.

    windows hello cannot detect camera

    Hi,

    We need to investigate further so that we can identify the cause of the issue. We suggest checking for driver updates for your camera and see if it helps. Follow the steps below:

    • Type Device Manager on Start/Cortana.
    • Click on Imaging devices.
    • Right click Integrated Camera or the name of your camera.
    • Select Update Software or Properties >
      Driver       Update Driver.

    How to select camera for Windows Hello

    Hi!

    I'm Marvin an Independent Advisor, and I will help you with your issue.

    There are 2 methods for resolving this

    Method 1

    Change your default camera.

    Step 1. Press Windows key + X.

    Step 2. Select Control Panel.

    Step 3. Click on Devices and Printers.

    Step 4. Check if the webcam you want to use is listed.

    Step 5. Right-click on the webcam you want to use.

    Step 6. Click on Set this device as default.

    Method 2

    You can disable your default webcam, you be able to enabled it again.

    1. Press Windows + X, click Device Manager.

    2. Click Imaging devices.

    3. Right-click on your default webcam.

    4. Click Disable.
