Windows 10: self-installed screensaver is not available in list of screensavers

I have a new desktop PC. Downloaded a couple of my favorite clock screensavers that worked on my old PC Windows 7 and also on this new PC for a couple of weeks and have now stopped working/appearing.

When i go to screensaver settings and the drop down list, the two display image of new ones no longer appear - all i get is an I for info and and F. This also appears as the screensaver after one minute my choice of timing to appear.

The standard microsoft screensaver options all appear and come on when chosen.

This is very frustrating as I really like my favorite "clock" screensavers to appear

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

• Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
• Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
• Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
• Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.

On Windows XP, the screensaver was running even when the montior was off which is a waste. Ever since I discovered that, I simply turn screensavers off and have the monitor power down in 5 minutes or less.

I have the blank screensaver set for 5 minutes then the standby set at 10.
